How do I change default HTML doctype declaration?

When you create a new HTML file in PhpED, it automatically adds the HTML 4.0 Transitional doctype. I would like to have it default to XHTML 1.0 Transitional. How do I go about setting this up?

You can change the default templates. Just go to your installation dir and then to the 'templates' folder and open the html template.

This is the location using a default installation: C:\Program Files\nusphere\phped\templates

You can also add new templates and stuff Wink Really useful Smile

I know this is a bit old, but I just purchased PhpED and find it amazing. The only thing I have found as of yet that would need to be updated is the DOCTYPE declaration. It is not correctly declared.

What is..

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

Should be

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

The path to the DTD is missing in the IDE template which causes the pages to fall in quirks mode.

Hope this helps.
