During a debugging session, is there a way to view all the characters that were so far sent to echo?
I am trying to chase after some text that makes it into the resultant HTML page, but i cannot find the PHP code that generates that text. i am hoping that if i can see echo output at any time as i step through the code, i can nail down what i am looking for.

There is (besides the actual browser window) also a debug "Output window". I *think* that that outputs all text immediately instead of caching it for a while like the browser does.
