I think we've found bug, as according to the manual, entering \t in the 'Text to find' field with 'Regular Expressions' checked should find a tab character.

I'm using build 5023.

right. i misunderstood. thanks.

i was more thinking about a toggled menu item or keyboard shortcut combination. much along the same lines as the menu items "to lower case" and "to upper case" found under "edit." something that would convert all tab character instances, on an entire page, into spaces.

many of the linux text editors have the functionality, that i am asking about, built in and i was just hoping that someone would be able to tell me that phped has the same functionality. i guess, by your answer, that is a "no." Smile
