Every time I start to start phpED about 20 seconds after the IDE comes up I get a dialog that states "the application has failed to start because PDC_SDK.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".



I got this with the evaluation version of the software. Since then I have completely uninstalled the evualuation and reinstalled, purchased phpED, uninstalled the evualuation version and installed the full version. I STILL get this error message, so, it appears that re-installing will not fix this.

Like I said I only see this when I run phpED. If I dismiss the dialog, phpED SEEMS to run correctly, but, I don't know what this DLL does so I don't know what might be missing.

I have searched these forums for PDC_SDK.DLL and PDC_SDK to no avail.

Suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kevin,

I want to assure you that neither PHPED components nor PHPED itself has any relation to that dll.
Check your registry to see if this library was left after some 3rd party products you might have installed.

I have the same problem. I installed the evaluation version before to purchase the paid version of PhpED. When I right-click in a file or directory in the workspace (only the 1st time I do it after start PhpED), it shows me the same message about PDC_SDK.DLL

I just opened regedit and did a search by "PDC_SDK" and nothing was found.

After purchase the Standard version I installed it without uninstall the trial. Yesterday I upgraded from Standard to Professional, again without uninstall the standard. Same problem continues to happen.

The only place where I see this message is when I execute phped and only when I right-click a file or directory in the workspace. Also, it only happens at the first time I right-click a file after start PhpED.

I'm sorry that you did not read my reply a message above. So I repeat there again:
THIS DLL IS NEITHER USED NOR DISTRIBUTED BY NUSPHERE.
If you get this message, it does not mean that PhpED does use it or requires it.
What you need is to check your system for consistency.
