That would be a great feature, I too spend too much time going to the file menu and opening workspaces every time a different client rings me with a query.

ehh,
follow me: right click on the menu and select customize. You will see window "Customize", ignore it but do not close until you finish!. Carefully click on the File->Recent Worspaces. You will see (MRU Workspaces) in stead of list of real workspaces. Drag this item into any free position of any toolbar while holding Ctrl key (it makes copy instead of moving). For example you may put it between Save All and Publish buttons. Then Right Click on to the newly created (MRU Workspaces) and change its caption to anything you want to see there. Close the "Customize" window. That's all tricks to have list of workspaces in a dropdown. Isn't it simple? |

That is simple! Thanks - that has made life a little bit easier...
However, I have approximately 90 different workspaces setup, one for each client. If I want to access one that I haven't used in the past day or so, i still have to go to the file menu and browse for it. Would be nice in a future version to have some kind of "workspace management" function which gives you a list of all your workspace titles in that dropdown and enables you to maybe select which ones appear there and which ones don't (ie when projects finish or clients are dormant). What do you think ? I'm envisaging it more like Dreamweaver's "Sites List" dropdown... |
