Hi,

I recently installed nusphere phped on my laptop for when I'm not working from home, however the nusphere toolbar doesnt show up in IE.

its an asus a6j laptop
windows xp home
PhpED 4.6.2 Professional for Windows (Build 4632)

the toolbar addon is installed, it shows up properly on my installed application list in add remove software yet it doesnt show up in IE neither does it show up on the IE add on page.

everything is installed the same way as on my desktop pc, I'm clueless whats going on..

Does anybody know a way to fix it or have any suggestions ?

then check your antiviruses,spamware/malware etc stuff that monitors IE plugin installation activity.

None of those are installed, fresh xp install with only mysql, apache, php 5.2 and nusphere

tried the same defaul install routine with IE 7 after completly removing nusphere first. still no toolbar

decided to give it one last go so I went back to IE 6, once again reinstalled nusphere phped completly and for some weird reason now it works .. gah

anyways after going tru the same loop for 5 times and changing some things in IE it seems to work again..

Havent got a clue what caused it Shocked

maybe some dumb setting asus did in the preinstalled xp on this laptop.. ?

Thanks for trying to help tho dmitri , always like the support here Smile

I just almost panicked cause its a handy little feature and next to phped i dont like any windows based php ide.. dont even get me started on Z..

Regards
Kristof

then make sure that your user account under which you logged in to Windows is listed in Power Users or Administrators group.

my account is an administrator account that didnt seem to cause it either.

Only thing i did now was set all IE settings exactly like they are on my desktop machine which I build and installed myself.

And now its working , so i recon maybe some security thing enabled in IE in this preinstalled xp ? if something like that is possible.

I did have IE closed (and all other software) but it doesn't show up in IE either.
It's not available in the toolbar list

IE 6.9.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519
XP pro
latest build of PhpED

IE toolbar is part of PhpED Professional. If you have Standard version, toolbar is not available.
