I find the current wavy red underline error highlighting is too easy to overlook.

I would like the highlighting method to be selectable the same as for syntax highlighting.

Then I could choose a red background for errors, and then I coundn't fail to see them.

Did you check with Error Navigation Bar shown on the right (see View->Editor Error Navigator)?

thanks, No I hadn't even noticed the error nabigation bar before.
It does give a quick way of seeing if there are any errors, and of jumping to them.

But I have the same issue with the error bar as I do with the wavy red underlines, if you are concentrating on coding, its all too easy to overlook the error indications. and the error bar shows such a tiny red marker.

I would like the error bar to be completely red if there are any errors, with the error markers on the bar then obviously a different colour. thusn a bright red bar down the right side of the screen would provide instant and unmissable feedback.
