How do I make a connection to a database not on the local machine. Either local network or remote hosted database. I'm trying to connect to a remote and a local MSSQL 2003 Server through the PhpDOCK PHP. I have enabled the correct extensions, because I can reach local databases, but I cannot get a connection to remote databases.

you may want to check if connection is blocked by firewall (either local or remote one), or there is a problem with client DB library settings. Try to google for "php mssql connection problem" (or more specific if you get particular error code from mssql client).
