In PhpEd, there's a tip of the day that says,

Quote:
To select a column block of code in the editor, hold down Alt keys while moving the cursor with left mouse button or hold down Alt+Shift while moving cursor by arrow keys.

Whilst I used to be able to carry out both of these operations, I can no longer do so. I've not changed the editor shortcuts for block operations (as far as I know) and I can see no way to change the Alt + mouse highlighting function.

How can I restore the column highlighting functionality?

Thanks

This functionality is available with mono-spaced fonts, when corresponding checkbox is checked, see tools->settings->appearance
