Passing variables in url

I have this url: mywebserver?kw=elvis

When I click Run, I don't know how to pass across the full url. In other words, I do not pass across kw=eliv.

How are you supposed to do this?

2 major ways:
-specify it in Run->Parameters
-open launchbox and add that into the GET setting for selected script
