Hi, just purchased the 4.6 upgrade. I havn't tried install yet, thought I would ask 1st.

1. can I install it on same system as existing v3.3 and have both versions working?

2. can install get my settings/setup from my exsiting 3.3 install ?

Yes, it's possible.
You can preserve 3.3 if install 4.6 into a different directory.
But you'll not be able to run them simultaneously anyway.

Most of the settings will be lost as they are differently grouped and some have slightly different meaning etc.
We are doing our best to preserve all settings for minor upgrades, for example - from 4.6 to 4.6.1 or from 4.0 to 4.6.
When major version is changed, some if not all settings will be lost, anyway.

Below is list of files that I think can be safely copied from 3.3 to 4.6:
accounts.cfg
phped.cfg
phpedscr.cfg
styles.ini
validations.ini
sql.log

thats good, I can stiil use 3.3 if I have any teething problems with 4.6.

I don't think you get any problems with 4.6, it's a pretty mature version.
