I think that keyboard shortcuts have no relation to ssh protocol and probably might be used for terminals and only.
No, we don't support shortcuts for the terminal. But could you please shed some light on how you use shortcuts in putty? Regarding ssh executable, we don't use it for terminal or sftp connections otherwise it would slow down everything in many times. What you see on Tools->SSH Executable is used for CVS with :ext: protocol, nowhere else. |

In putty I use "screen" to have multiple bash-session in one putty window (ctrl+a,n swithes bash-sessions and that works in PhpED). On one of those bash-sessions I also have IM client witch swithes it's windows (tabs) by ALT+1 (1st window), ALT+2 (2nd) and so on. And that doesn't work (ñFV¥æúQVø chars shows if I press shortcuts ALT + 1....0). The same behaviour is with IRC client - Irssi - it has the same tab swithing shortcuts.
I must say I woundered why terminal works even though I didn't provide SSH executable in Settings |

screen is a unix/linux application and has no relation to putty. You can run it from PhpED's terminal as well.
PhpED sends XTerm-compatible sequencies. If they are not supported by your application, it will not work.
I think it's clear. We don't use any applications for our terminals. PhpED provides its own terminal which is built in. |
