TAB key is inactive when I change default hotkey for Indent. Can`t use it in editor. Why?

I spend few hours to find a bug. Grrr...

I'm not sure what you mean by "inactive key". Is there any indication of what is active or inactive?

If you turn off SMART TAB and turn off USE TAB CHARACTER, pressing tab will indent current line by specified number of spaces.
If you turn off SMART TAB and turn on USE TAB CHARACTER, pressing tab will indent current line with 1 tab character.
If you turn on SMART TAB, pressing tab will indent current line according to the line above.

What else would you need?

Exactly, when TAB key is a shortcut to Indent it`s working. Set other key for this shortcut and try press TAB in editor. It`s not working!

Forget about 'use tab character' and 'smart tab' options. I can`t insert simple TAB character to my code when shortcut to Indent has changed.

if you need TAB characters to be inserted as is, feel free to proceed with what I recommended. Naturally, USE TAB CHARACTER must be ON and SMART TAB should be OFF, shorcut for code indent should be TAB.

if you go by a different way, don't claim if it does not work.
