I think an easy feature would be an option to select the file on the tree view when it is opened on the main window.
This option could reside on the right click menu over the openned file tab.
Something like: "Select on the workspace"

This is useful when the file is opened from the debugger or from the search. Or when you have 5+ source files openned.

Sounds like a useful feature! I would even suggest to create a separate dock which shows all open files (filename only as option) grouped by project and sorted alphabetically. This is extremely useful if you have more files open than tabs visible. Our teams generally have 10-20 files open, which is a mess when being forced to use the tab scroll buttons to open the desired file. So having a simple sorted list of all files would be great (e.g. as in PSPad or UltraEdit, but with grouping by project).
