I'm now trying to install the DBG-DLL for several hours without any success. I first had the latest XAMPP with PHP 5.1.4 installed and after some unsuccessful attempts installing the DBG-DLL, I "downgraded" to the former XAMPP-Version 1.5.1 with PHP 5.1.2.
But now all the same, Apache crashes during the necessary restart after having installed the DBG-DLL. I'm shure that I've picked the correct DLL-File, I've checked it several times. And all the changes in php.ini I've made just like proposed in the according tutorials. Apache runs fine, if I comment the "extension=php_dbg.dll"-line.
I even tried to run apache in safe mode, but then, too, it crashed.

Has anybody had similar experiences and perhaps a solution for it?

Regards, Martin

btw. I'm running WinXP Professional SP2.

Recently we fixed similar problem in the commercial version of debugger:
apache-segmentation-fault-t2226.html

Yet currently I have no time to propagate changes to the free DBG version (2.13).
Perhaps will do in two-three weeks or will post sources only.

Is the comercial version available standalone (without phped) for an appropriate price? Source won't help me much, I don't have the Visual C++.

All the interfaces in 3.0 are reimplemented in order to get whole product working faster. So starting with version 3, DBG works with PhpED only.
