i have been running phpEd 4.5 on serveral machines for the past monthes (trial version on open source so far, hoping for a decent paychck soon to purchase this great product), and bought a new modo and chip and SATA hardrive, ready for some serious debugging.

Instead, I am getting this error...

Quote:
DBG 3.0.2

Failed to run DBG session

Reason: connection to the client address 127.0.0.1:7869 is not allowed
Not sure what it means? Visit http://www.nusphere.com/dbg/ for troubleshooting.

Debugger request: "388878060071200007;d=1,p=0,c=1"
Request found in: "query_string"
Target PHP version: "5.1.4"
Server API: "Apache 2.0 Handler"
Extensions API: "220051025"
Modules API: "20050922"
PHP API: "20041225"

I've followed the "install debug module" verbatim, and as I've said, have got he IDE working on over 3 other machines (pre-4.6)...I suppose I should mention I am using Opera now, not IE 6. I have checking the firewall options in both my router and firewall and open 7869 in both, although I am running apache on my local dev box, not remotely.

Xampplite now is using PHP 5.14 not 5.04 as on my other boxes, and I do see the Zend debug message in my phpinfo() (but not using Opera, only IE, another mystifying problem).
I've disable both my anti-virus AND firewall program, still no go.

Any help or ideas would be GREATLY apprecaited!

Hi there - I assume that you are running with PhpED 4.6 now - otherwise dbg 3.x will not work.
If yes, what do you have for debugger.hosts_allow directive in your php.ini (and do you have this directive)?
If it's present, it should have listed all hosts that are allowed to join the debug session
