In the editor when you right click on a function name it gives the option to Find Declaration.
I love this button and use it on a daily basis but I get frustrated when I have to dig my way back to the file I was currently in.
Is there any way to quickly jump back to the file/line/column that I was just at?

All such navigation actions are stored. Whenever you navigate in "Find in files" log or "Find Declaration" or in "code explorer", previous location is remembered.
BrowseBack (Alt-Up) will return get you a step back and BrowseForward (Alt-Down) will get you to the navigated location again.
