This is a pretty major request and I don't know of many editors that implement it, except for Emacs which can do anything at all if you can live with it's quirks.

I'd really, really like to see language specific settings for, well, to be consistent, everything. But primarily I want the Editor / Editor Options settings to be language specific. This would let me have (for instance) indent by 2 spaces, cursor beyond EOL for HTML/XML files and indent by tab (4 spaces), optimal fill for PHP. Very convenient.

There should probably be a global setting and then language specific overrides for these commands. Also It might then be a good idea to have a Languages section in the settings dialog and collect the Syntax colors, Reserved words, Code templates settings, as well as other language specific settings here.
