"Favorites" bug? *solved*

I recently moved to v4.0.1 build 4048, running on Win2K and have encountered a small problem. The "Favorites" list in the file save dialog has stopped working.

I work on files on a development box and production server, and save files from one to the other all day long. The "Favorites" list made it very easy and quick. Now, I when I tell PhpEd to save a location as a favorite, it appears in the list, but disappears the first time I try to actually use it.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Bill

hmm, I can't replicate the problem in 4058.
Could you please provide more info on the problem?

TIA

Hi Dmitri,

I don't know exactly what other information I can offer. When saving a file, I can add Favorites using the dropdown menu. The first time I try to use them, however, they just disappear from the list. Nothing else happens.

Yes, that's (supposed to be) the joke.

well.
I tried the following:
-launched the IDE
-opened some files
-File->Save As
-clicked on Favorites icon (star) and selected in Add to favorites in the popup.
-clicked cancel
-left the ide
-lauched the ide again
-clicked on File->Open
-clicked on Favorites, and directory that was added before was still there.

so I assume it works for me.

I tried the same steps as you, but when I get to the last step and click on the folder name, the menu goes away and the directory doesn't change. Then, when I look at the Favorites list again, the directory is gone from the list.

Before this happens, I can go to the Edit Favorites window and move items around. When I exit it, the items are reordered as they should be. But they still disappear when I choose them.

I'm going to try reinstalling and see if that changes anything.

Thanks for the screenshots you sent me.
Problem is replicated and fixed in build 4059.
