There seems to be 2 problems with selecting and dragging blocks of code.

1) Tabs get converted to spaces. I always use the tab character, but when I select indented code and drag it, when it is dropped into it's new place, all tabs have been replaced by spaces. This happens for both tabs at start of line (indents) and tabs within lines of code (eg. array( 'Foo'\t\t=>'bar' ); has between 5 and 8 spaces instead of the 2 tabs.

2) I can only drag when I click on selected code, not tabs (indents, within code as above) or beyond EOL. I have selection beyond EOL turned on, but cursor beyond EOL turned off. This makes the editor work like every other editor and word processor I've used, however, other editors allow dragging to start beyond EOL. If I turn on cursor beyond EOL it works, but cursor beyond EOL is a pest IMHO.

I'd recommend you to use Cut-Paste. In this case no tabs are converted to spaces.


It's because Cursor beyound EOL is turned off. Turn it on or use Cut-Paste for moving code parts.

Will these be fixed in future builds? I know I can work around them, but it would be convenient if they worked as I'dlike. Point #1 in particular just appears to be a bug, I suppose point #2 could be by design.

Regarding 1st problem, yes it will be fixed in future builds.

Excellent! This bug was a pest for a chronic perfectionist like me, I had to retype the tabs every time :-\
