Maybe I am way of here - but my PhpED makes some annoying error-sound every second minute. I haven't really figured out where it comes from and why it occurs but I have made the following:

• closed down everything but PHPed and the sound occurs only when being in the editor (and in a open file - if only in the editor without the open file the sound does not occur.)
  
• disabled windows sound scheme
  
• checked all the options but haven't found and sound settings for PHPed
  
• I have disabled code-completion
  
• checked the log-window but is empty.
  

I am 100% sure that PHPed makes the sound...

yep, sure, you thought it's an IDE? it's just a jukebox.

check tools->settings->tools->CSE Validator, Options, Enable sounds. It's off by default.

I should have figured... =o)

The sound is forever gone... Thanks!

But, It wasn't off by default... at least not in my version...
