It appears that when I want to do a search in all directories of my project that phped is searching inside my zip files. I say this because phped spends alot of time showing my zip files when searching. It this is what it is doing then how do I disable it?

Hopefully it is not just slow. All I know is that dreamweaver can search through the same set of files in under 10 secs. It takes phped about 5 to 10 minutes to search them.

If you specified *.* or just nothing in the File Masks input, PHPED searches in ALL FILES, regardless of their extensions.
You may want to search only in files such as for example *.php;*html;*.css by specifying these masks in the input box or remove ZIPs from the project directory.
