Today, I want to compile DBG 2.11.23 on my Mac OS X box with php 4.3.3 (self-compiled). But ./deferphpize exits with the following messages

[localhost:Daten/build/dbg-2.11.23-src] jens% ./deferphpize
autoheader: config.h.in is unchanged
/usr/local/bin/phpize: libtoolize: command not found
configure: error: cannot run /bin/sh ./config.sub
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

1) There is a libtool on /usr/bin/libtool
2) I remember from the giFT project that on Mac OS X I should prefer glibtool (which is even there)

But I don't know where I can change the path of the libtool in ./configure, is it hardcoded?

Notice: I've only installed the latest Apple dev. tools.

all these problems have no relation to DBG debugger because all the infrastucture for compiling is provided with php sources, including phpize script called.

Please post your comments and questions to appropriate forum(s).
I believe that you'll find one at

I've read problem-building-shared-library-on-macos-x-10-2-6-t116.html now and now it runs and generates a shared object. But I've the same problems. Apache doesn't start anymore and the same symbols in the error_log so I can confirm his problems.
