I just upgraded to the new PHPed v4. All of my previous and included PHP4 templates are missing. Is there an editor option that I need to set to see these files?

please open phped.cfg in an editor and replace <php> with <php4>
then replace </php> with </php4> and save.

It currently reads:
<CodeTemplates><php4/><php5/>

Changing it to:
<CodeTemplates><php4></php4>

Does not work. Is there another area that should be modified?

Sorry if I didn't make it clear.
You said you had your own templates when worked with phped 3.3
Phped.cfg file contains all the templates. Phped 3.3 uses <php> for php4 and have nothing for php5.
You only need to copy this file to phped v4's directory and correct the tag names.
