I am using PHPEd v3.3 with PHP DBG v2.16 on Windows XP Pro SP2. When I try to debug a program, I get a timeout error for the debugger. I am also using the SRV web server included with PHPEd v3.3.

I tried to telnet to the port on my machine:
>telnet 192.168.0.100 7869

It connects to the DBG process, but I the DBG client reports "Wrong Client". Am I missing something here?

The debug settings in PHPEd point to the same IP address and port.

So, I had been point to index.html to work with the debugger, but it times out on that HTML page, or even a simple one for that matter.

If I can't use it on HTML files, is there a suggested way to get POST data into the debugger?

Regarding HTML and debugger, while you have pure HTML, there is no code and nothing to execute/step with php engine.
The FAQ page answers the qustion "how to post data...".
