Hi

I need some help connecting to a server using PhpED 3.3 .
I’m using windows XP I have both the XP and my own firewall turned off.
I’ve search the forum and the other cases of this just seem to be mis-configuration and ive looked at the faq, but with no luck. I can connect using other ftp software (winscp 3, WS_ftp pro) to the server so there’s no problem on the server side.
I’m using the correct port number, 22.

I’m a newbie to IDE’s so be gentle.

Here are the connection settings I’m using:



I enter my password and stuff and It says its connecting in the transfers panel, but it never does or it says failed!.

Is this a know issue with phped?

Any ideas would be welcome.

If you have your ftp server running on 22nd port, then the settings should work fine, otherwise set 21st port

Ah I nearly forgot about this post I put up

I have successfully ftp ‘d my 1&1 account using port 21 . The original server I tried to use, was port 22 but it's FUBAR’d with ports blocking and firewalls etc. etc.

I have been using PheED for a week and its really, really good. I read review in Php| architect, where PhpED came first out of all the IDE’s, so there’s no turning back now.
