Hi everyone,
I'm using the PhpED3.3 Build 3332 Evaluation on a Windows XP Pro (Sp2) machine running dialup and have encountered quite a large problem.
Whenever I'm disconnected from the Internet, I can run and debug my php code without issues, and the 'Bind Address:' in the PHP DBG Listener shows 127.0.0.1 like it is meant to. However, whenever I'm connected to the Internet the PHP DBG Listener listens on whatever my IP address is for my dialup connection (eg 203.xxx.xxx.xx, which is dynamic) and when I try to Run or debug my code, I get the infamous debugger timeout message, because it is listening on the wrong address. Also, the 'Bind Address:' droplist is greyed out constantly, so I cannot simply change that to 127.0.0.1 and get things running smoothly again.

I did not have any PHP/Apache/MySQL installations on my machine prior to installing PhpED, so there's no conflicts that could be causing this. I'm also not running any firewall and have not edited the php.ini file that PhpED installs in any way. Everything is running as it does out-of-the-box.

Does anybody know how I can make the listener stay on 127.0.0.1 all the time and not listen on the IP that my ISP is assigning me when I'm on the Internet? I'd really appriciate help, as if I could figure out this thinker, I'll definately be putting PhpED on my shopping list in the near future.
Regards,
Dhruv

phped 3332 evaluation version is not available for more than half year. Why are you going to run it now ?

Actually, it is available. I downloaded the evaluation via eDonkey2000 just 2 days ago. I had initially tried downloading the trial from NuSphere.com, however it took me to an authentication form at shop.nusphere.com, and I just wanted to try-before-you-buy, so I just searched for the evaluation copy on P2P and 3332 was the newest there. I only *just* realised that I am able to register an account at shop.nusphere.com and download an evaluation for free (when I first went there, it seemed like it was asking me to purchase the product right away, and appeared as if the evaluation link was taking me straight to the purchase page - quite misleading).

Anyway, I have uninstalled the previous version and the latest NuSphere-phped-3.3.3evl-Win32.exe evaluation has just finished downloading after 1 hour 27 minutes (I'm on dial up, remember?), but my problem still remains! Sad
Can you please tell me how to solve my problem? If I cannot figure this one out I guess I'll have to start considering alternatives (ActiveState Komodo looks like a second choice, and the Pro edition is in the same price range as PhpED).

by default DbgListener listens on all addresses. You may check it by running netstat -naop TCP and locate the line with 0.0.0.0:7869 LISTENING
To drop the settings into their defaults just delete DbgListener.ini.
