DBG Documentation?

Well, I decided I needed a PHP debugger, did some searching and came across DBG. It sounds like a good package, particularly if I can later move on and hook it into an IDE environment.

So I downloaded and installed the software, and brought up the phpinfo() page, as described on the installation page. Looks like it's installed correctly on our server. So I unpacked and ran the CLI to give DBG a try. Now I'm faced with a dbg> prompt, and no explanation of how to use this tool to debug a PHP program. I tried various commands and dug around on the web site, and came up with nothing that might help me get started.

Is there a manual or How To or even a brief example of how to use DBG to step through the PHP code on a web page? It looks like a lot of work has gone into this package and I'd like to give it a try, but not if I have to spend a week reverse engineering the interface first.

Suggestions? Anyone?

Ed

well some basic steps and commands are described in README file... Anyway, dbg-cli is not a thing to be used in an IDE environment. You may want to try PHPED IDE first. It always comes with the most recent DBG debugger.
