Don't expect too much from a product barely in a maintenance mode, for which biggest updates consist of updating bundled PHP and last new feature was added about 10 yrs ago.
It took almost 1.5 year to add support for PHP 8.0 since official PHP release and then almost a year to add for 8.1 and 8.2 respectively.

Your info is not accurate. PHP-8.0 was released 2020-Nov-24 18:11 -- you can check this here https://museum.php.net/php8/
PhpED 19.5 with support for PHP-8.0 and some important features was released June 17, 2021 -- you can find it here https://www.nusphere.com/news/index.htm
So it took more than 2 times less time to add support for PHP 8.0.

I haven't seen any official word on PHP 8.3 support for DBG yet. When I last checked, it wasn’t fully compatible, but sometimes these things get updated pretty quickly.
