I successfully compiled dbg.so for Darwin and have installed it according the the instructions. The first time that I restart apache and visit a phpinfo() page, the DBG module is present and reports itself as activated. Then, the next (and succeeding) times that I restart Apache, DBG disappears and instead I find the following line in Apache's error_log:

PHP Warning: Unknown(): Invalid library (maybe not a PHP library) 'dbg.so' in Unknown on line 0

I am running PHP 4.3.2 under Apache 2.0.47, with Mac OS X 10.3.5 with XCode (GCC 3.3 20030304) and of course DBG DBG 2.11.30.

Any help would be appreciated...

did you compile php yourself ? if not, try another or update binaries. I got some similar reports and authors found workaround by updating to fresh php binaries.
