You currently have support for Smarty. Is there any chance of having support added for "Twig"? It seems to be the upcoming PHP Template engine.

I'm reviving this one...

twig.sensiolabs.org/doc/templates.html#ides-integration

I'm not sure if the licenses for the extensions for these editors / ides, which support Twig, would allow use in commercial software like PhpED, but at least it would give you a good idea on how to add the feature.

This is particular appears to be GPL: github.com/gabrielcorpse/gedit-twig-template-language/blob/master/twig.lang

Having just moved to SF2 I've begun to use Twig templates and not having support for them is quite frustrating (and surprising given the integrated support for Symfony 2).

+1 for Twig support in PhpED! (Even if it's just syntax highlighting...)

@paradoxst: I'm using twig template support in PhpED already. I guess the support might not be complete and due to how twig works I can imagine full support would be very difficult if not impossible, but it does at least highlight twig code and make it easier to see HTML and coding issues.

The syntax highlighting could be significantly improved and that would for sure be a feature request.

Tools->Settings->Editor Theme, then select TWIG in the Language dropdown.
I know, it's not a sophisticated TWIG highlighter, but still there is some level of flexibility there.

PS
I didn't mean there won't be any further improvements in this regard. Quite the opposite -- we have plans to implement a better twig highlighter.

Dmitri, thanks for the reply.
I am very pleased that you have plans for the development of Twig in PhpEd.
Now there are very few features.
1) "Reformat code"
2) auto substitution.
3) folding blocks
