That would be SO great! Uploading 5 files at a time would vastly speed up the synchronisation process.

Having a terminal in PhpEd is awesome. Most of the time I run the same commands in a terminal and thought it would be a massive time-saver if there was a way to save commands and use either drag/drop, ...

yes, you can set "Don't publish directories" in the project settings as well as setting file filters and file masks in folder properties.
Why you have to do this in 2 different places make ...

If there is PHP code and HTML code on the same line in the editor then the shortcuts & code templates are unpredictable.

Example:

<td>|<?php echo $merchandise->getName() ...
