When will PHP 5.4 support be available?

My hosting provider is getting ready to upgrade to PHP 5.4 and notified they're dropping Zend Encoder support, and I've been trying to motivate support for PhpExpress. This was looking very promising because besides me there were 3 other customers also asking for PhpExpress, until they picked up on the Nusphere site that PhpExpress only supports up to PHP 5.3 and are changing their mind about supporting it, and will only provide Ioncube support. I've asked them to hold on for a few days so I can get an ETA for 5.4 support, because once they make a decision they'll only look at this again when upgrading to PHP 5.5 which will be a few years. I'm sure a lot of other users are facing similar situations. So what is the ETA for PHP 5.4 support?

The silence is deafening when it comes to discussing 5.4 and later... Sad, very sad.

From the PHP website regarding 5.5:
"Our next beta is expected for April 25th. RC should follow. "
