Hi everybody,
I got following error while Im trying to connect to FTP server:

"Failed to connect to server
Server actively refused connection"

Error started to come up when I upgraded PHPeD from 56xx to 5921.
When I was working on 56 everything was OK.
I changed nothing in my configurations... got many different connections, which works fine.... this one is broken.

Any ideas ?

Thx a lot for every response Smile

If all the other connections work fine and only the one is broken, then it sound to me that the problem does not lie with PhpED. Have you checked the connection with another FTP client?

Yes, I've checked connection with PSPAD.
There must be sth in PhpED ver. 5921, cause when I was working on previous versions, everything was fine.
Also... I've tried id twice. I mean, tried to reinstall PhpED to older version 5965 and it was OK.
Now, after upgrading... i can't connect Sad

5965? That version is not even out yet.
5921? The current version is 5936. Try upgrading.

If that was a bug, chances are its been fixed by now.
I've got well over 100 FTP accounts in my editor, quite a few with varying hosts, settings, timezones, and have not had any problem.

The only thing I can think of is possibly unchecking the "passive" checkbox for that FTP account. Also doublecheck the port number.

I suspect that neozakus meant version 56xx, not 5965. Either way, I agree with you simshaun: he should try with the latest version. Personally, I am using SFTP instead of FTP for reliable smart sync functionality and are not having any connection problems.

Sorry for 5965 version... should be 5639 Wink

I tried to uncheck passive and nothing changed.
Now... I've got two installations of PhpED with the same configuration, for 5639 it works, for 5921 it doesn't.
Tried on 21 and 22 ports. There must be some problem with that version.

So the only way is to... buy newer version.

Anyway... thanks for Your replies Smile
