I'm new to this tool and have installed PhpEd and the TechPlatform. From the documentation, it does not appear that MySQL is included. Can someone suggest a source for MySQL to add to my installation? Thanks for the help Exclamation

I have the same problem. Just installed PHPed and Tech Platfrom.
I also have MySQL server installed.

The problem is that the installation does not recognize the mysql_connection() etc commands.
I need to know how to install or otherwise instruct the installation to understand mysql_ php commands and to make them connect to my local MySQL server.

Thanks

I get this error ;

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\Program Files\nusphere\TechPlat\apache\htdocs\size.php on line 7

Seems as the default installation of TechPlatform doesn't include support for mysql calls .. or ?

/Henrik

You may want to read FAQ forum first. Would you please?

hi there, when you sepcify links for your users to follow - ie Faq forum, could you please include that url in your post?

i looked for the faq forum cant find it...

the techplatform is useless without the basic mysql and phpmyadmin,

in my opinion worthless produce without these two components

woudl be nice for these to be included - otherwise im going to waste a week of downtime just trying to get it configured to something useful...
ive installed MAMP for mac, and it only comes with the zend engine 2.2

the link to FAQ is http://forum.nusphere.com/faq.php

your problem is that you need to edit your php.ini file first. Open it in notepad or equal and look for a line with libmysql.dll . When found, remove the semi-colon sign in front of the line and save the file. Restart php or simply restart your computer to make it re-read the new setting. This made it work for me.

you may want to check mysql license yourself to find that re-distribution is not allowed.
Strictly speaking they changed their license with v4.1 release, so earlier versions released with not-so-strong license can be distributed, but... who cares of them.

Regarding useful or not, it's not a question b'ze you can download and install mysql in 3-5 seconds. As of the rest (Apache, SSL, php, perl configuration etc), it's not that easy and it certainly makes TechPlatform useful.
