PHP Debugger DBG :: how to turn off the dbg listener

Subject: how to turn off the dbg listener
Posted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 4:57 pm (GMT -5)

I tried debugging the web service I'm installing but I got nothing useful so I would like to just move on. However, it appears that the listener is still running because all transactions are failing. I think the listener is intercepting requests then issuing an error response because dbg was not enabled in php.ini.

How to I get back to where I was before installing NuSphere and dbg?

Thank,
PHP Debugger DBG :: Debugging a web service not deployed to htdocs

Subject: Debugging a web service not deployed to htdocs
Posted: Thu Sep 02, 2010 8:27 am (GMT -5)

I want to debug a web service that is not deployed in <APACHE_ROOT>/htdocs. The web service and Apache are running on the same machine so I think this is considered remote debugging. However, when I try to set this up I get an error stating that the project root is not in Apache root.

The web service was deployed according to instructions from the developer and the entire project is in a separate directory, nothing is deployed to Apache.

Is there any way around the requirement that the php must be in Apache root?

thanks for any help or advice,
beeky
