It would be really neat if the background of the editor could be turned transparent (and easily toggled off/on). I find myself frequently flipping between PhpED and something else, it would be great if I could have a transparent background so i could reference what I needed in the background while still looking at and working on my code.

One frequent problem I see with people that add transparency is they make the foreground text transparent at the same time as the background, if this is avoidable that would be great, I'd like to be able to see my code and whats behind PhpED at the same time.

If you have win7 you can go to the task bar and hover over the other app you'd like to see, then hover over its' popup image and it will show the app. Just a quick work-around for you.

Or use another monitor, or see if something like AutoHotKey has a feature that will help (eg always on top, transparency). http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/WinSet.htm

I know you would like it built-in, but sometimes developers are just not going to implement some features Wink
