Reactivate DbgListener

Is there a way to reactivate DbgListener/IDE communications without having to restart the IDE?

I have rerun the dbglistener exe to establish its running instance but it appears the IDE does not detect the new instance of the dbglistener service.

Only when I close down and restart my IDE I find that the dbglistener connect with the IDE.

dbglistener is a COM server, it can't run two instances nor support re-running which stems from COM limitations. FYI: IDE does not run dbglistener, it's done by COM infrastructure.
