Is there support for connecting to an Oracle db for backend support? If so, can you point in the right direction to get the information regarding supportability?

DB client embedded into PhpED 3.3 works with PostgreSQL/UltraSQL and mySQL only. It does not mean that you can't develop php scripts that work with Oracle or any other databases which are supported by php. It's embedded DB client can't work with them, while php itself works fine.
If you get any problems with php working with Oracle, take a look at oci8 php extension in the php manual.

Any chance of support in the near future for the wizard?
