PHPed Version 3.3.3 for Linux vs. version 5.5 for Windows?

I am a bit confused.

I would like to run PHPed on my Ubuntu machine. You've got the PHPed version 3.3.3 for Linux. You've also got PHPed version 5.5 for Windows that is reported to run fine on Linux with Wine. What product should I buy - v3.3.3 for Linux or v5.5 for Windows? Featurewise, is there any difference between the two products?

Thanks for your help.

If you use php above 5.0.4 I think you have to prefer windows version with wine, because linux version not contain the dbg modules for php > 5.0.4, but the module from windows version could not work with linux listener version <= 3.4.4. It's my own experience and IMHO, may be I am not right...

I wouldn't hold your breath, it doesn't look they are continuing development or maintenance of PHPed for linux, so I imagine the stability is going to be terrible, I have been unable to get it to install on Ubuntu 9.04, and it looks like people don't post in this forum (the linux section) for months at a time.

I did actually come here to ask the same question though, could someone please help me out getting PHPed installed on ubuntu 9.04? I've gotten as far as creating symlinks for the appropriate glibc modules, and I tried following the instructions in the existing thread about the following error:

"ERROR: unable to locate Linux/x86_64/glibc-2.0/setup.gtk"

But those didn't help anything out, I'm kind of stuck on it.

Windows server pack 2 is best option.
