Me and my team just ran in to this issue a couple of minutes ago. While I like sipping coffee, watching the 1000$/hour tally stack up isn't quite as amusing...

After the 5th reinstall I can't even click in the IDE anymore Evil or Very Mad

This bug starts today and belonging to at least 15 pers and 16.0 prof versions...
yet yesterday all was OK.
Seems like some VIRUS changed files... may be.. (and CRC become wrong)
but my ESET don't see any wrong files on the system

16.0 prof 64 + windows 7
and
15.0 pers 64 + windows 10
the same trouble

i'm in panics...

I found a solution.
4. install previous version from:
- https://shop.nusphere.com/customer/personal.php?mode=prev (Build 15036)
- https://shop.nusphere.com/customer/download.php?action=get&fil_id=2994 (NuSphere-phped-15.0pers-Win32.exe Build 15036)
- https://shop.nusphere.com/customer/download.php?action=get&fil_id=2995 (NuSphere-phped-15.0pers-x64.exe Build 15036)
5. Use your own Serial Number
6. if you have a Firewall installed, block PHPEd to connect to any Web site intill this problem is fixed in next release
7. continue to work on your projects by closing and reopen Workspaces(s)

Not sure..
i have 2 copies
15.0 pers and 16.0 prof (on different PCs)

the same problem

Happens to me too on an older 13 version on win 7 x64. Luckily recently I started the transition to another IDE and this is just going to accelerate it.
More worrisome than the problem is that nobody is saying anything here.

My boss is having the same problem, but I'm not. We both have the same build of version 16 installed and valid keys. The one difference between us is that shut down his computer last and I didn't. When he restarted PhpED this morning he started having the problem. I haven't had to restart and its working fine. He is currently running the trial version and that seems to be working ok for now.

The symptoms just described suggest that perhaps PhpED is attempting to reach a license server, but is unable to. Since my installation hasn't been restarted I've still got the validated token.

Just a thought. I don't know if PhpED does any of this under the hood or not.
