Path based uri and profiling/launch box

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here but I can't seem to profile nor debug nor run in the launch box path based uris.

Example: -

http://www.localdev.com/system/product/index/products_id/3

The script is monolithic so no index.php is ever present yet PhpED seems to insist on a filename in the URL and if I add get params it insists on adding a ?

I also can't find a way to run the root url ( http://www.localdev.com/system/ )

In the launch box settings the file to run is greyed out so I can't alter that.

So I suppose my simplified question is.

In the launch box I want to run a profiling session on the URL: -

http://www.localdev.com/system/product/index/products_id/3

How do I do it?

I can't answer your question, but these forums are more "community support" style forums rather than the official support channel. If you want quick, official support, then you'll want this form instead.

Cheers..

Bear in mind that as long as your browser has the appropriate debug cookie from running a previous page, you can enter any URL you like into the browser and it will both debug and profile. You do not have to enter URLs into PHpED.

I often start a debug session by using F9 to start the sites default URL from project properties, then for the rest of my work I enter URLs direct into the browser.

You could use Alt+F9 to startup http://www.localdev.com/?DBGSESSID=1;d=0,p=1,c=1 with the profiler, then you can visit http://www.localdev.com/system/product/index/products_id/3 (without having to include DBGSESSID) and that will also be profiled because the browser already has the debug cookie.

I'm not saying that there is (or is not) a problem with the launch box, just that there are other ways.
