I downloaded and installed the Windows version of the PHPEd IDE because that is what I work on most of the time.

However, my server is Linux. I don't want to install the full version of PHPEd on my server, it is stripped down and simple; I just want to add the ability to debug code on my Linux server...

Nothing said that you have to install phped on the server. Being a client side IDE, phped should be installed on your workstation(s) only Smile. It's fairly clear.
As with server, in order to debug your scripts you have to install debugger module. It is one little library (.dll or .so depending on the platform).
See the instuctions above Smile

Hi,

after installing the dbg, my phpmyadmin does not start anymore.
I used the dbg.so-4.3.2 for my php 4.3.5, because I could'nt find
the correct one. Also, I have already the ZEND-Engine running.

Where do I get the correct version of the debugger?

Thanks

Martin
