Hi,
I have a dedicated Linux development server, running Apache 2 and php7.2
All work is done by me on this server.
I have a mapped drive to this network /var/www/ then showing /var/www/projectname
When I use the wizard to setup the project I get a dialog saying the root is incorrect if I use the mapped drive.

Could some please tell me how to properly setup PhpEd to access the remote server.
I have the debug php file in the root and also the root of the project

Thank you and kind regards,

jB Cool

It's hard to say what might go wrong. Can you post screenshots of all the wizard pages?

I created an SFTP account and used that as the connection to the Remote Server within PhpEd.
All works well.
I have maintained my Samba 3 mappings to enable quick additions etc.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Yep, ssh/sftp is enough.
Perhaps, the only difference is that IDE won't recognize file system changes instantly if you make them in another application. I mean that SFTP protocol does not support file system notifications. PhpED can only poll for changes among the open files while you're working with them, and through all the files in the project when you open it for the 1st time after you started the IDE or opened workspace.
