I'm saving files from Windows PhpEd directly into a Linux share. How do I force all saves to use LF instead of CRLF?

I think this is what "Default File Format" is for in the Settings window.

Windows ought to be CRLF.
Unix ought to be LF.
Not sure what Mac is.

Ok, I see it now. Not an intuitive label, but makes sense.

The newline for a mac is CR only Smile
I think the label is fine... The file format indicates the OS which dictates the newline so it was pretty clear from the start for me Smile

Maybe it could be for the best of both worlds.

The label could read "Default file format/Line ending" and the options could be:
Autodetect
Windows / CRLF
Unix / LF
Mac / CR

As long as we're quibbling semantics, Autodetect is a little vague. For example, emacs makes LF or CRLF decisions on a file by file basis, it's really a viewing mode in that editor: if you want to change line endings you do it explicitly for each file.

All that said, now that I found the setting, the feature is "good enough".
