When I want to debug my program I always get "failed to map" errors, but the remote file shows up anyhow.

Configuration:
Development with Nusphere PHPEd on Windows XP (IE7). My files reside on SAMBA server (in fact they are the server files) and are mapped on drive W:\cgi-php\homenet\mycmms2

Server is Linux LAMP. There the files are on /var/www/cgi-php/... (same files)

Any ideas?
Problem with the fact that in fact we use the same files?

Root directory: W:\cgi-php\homenet\mycmms2
Run Mode: HTTP Mode (3rd party server)
Root URL : http://backup (local net)
Remote root dir: /var/www/cgi-php/homenet/mycmms2/

Place it in W:\cgi-php\homenet\mycmms2 and point your broaswer to http://backup/sbg-wizard.php - what does it say?

Project -> Root Directory: LOCAL DIRECTORY IS W:\... since I use Windows IDE
Select the location where you will store the copies of the files from /var/www/cgi-php/homenet/mycmms2/ from your server backup .
Note: if you are using Samba or some other file sharing system, you can simply point Root Directory to /var/www/cgi-php/homenet/mycmms2/ instead of copying it
Mapping -> Run Mode: HTTP Mode (3-rd party WEB server)
Mapping -> Remote URL: http://backup/
Mapping -> Remote Root Directory: /var/www/cgi-php/homenet/mycmms2/

So, these are the settings you put in, right - with your root url set to http://backup/ ?
Could you please post the screenshot with the error dialog and the log tab of PhpED + the screen shot of project properties?
These settings seem to be right
