Hi,
I'd like to know if a quadcore processor would speed the debugging process while I work with the embedded server on my workstation
in fact to which extent NuSphere is multitask or mutithread?
is it faster to debug on a remote server

thanks
pierre

Well, considering a PHP session is usually run single-threaded, I imagine that the the only advantage of multiple cores is the that debugging will run on one while the others take up the other load. Will it make a huge impact? I doubt it. Will it make a noticeable impact? Unlikely.

I think the biggest slow down with debugging is that a fair amount of data gets passed from the debugger to PhpED as it processes the files.

Correct.
I'd recommend to think about amount of memory and its perfomance. In case of remote debugger, you'd also need good network with high bitrate and low latency (ping). Don't forget to check your network for packet drops, collisions and other network disasters Smile
