I am getting this

DBG 3.6.8

Failed to start DBG session

Reason: debugger module version mismatch; version of the debugger module installed on the server is 3.6, please upgrade it to 3.8
Not sure what it means? Visit http://www.nusphere.com/dbg/ for troubleshooting.

Debugger request: "399897494329400003;d=1,p=0,c=1"
Request found in: "query_string"
Target PHP version: "5.2.x"
Server API: "Apache 2.0 Handler"
Extensions API: "220060519"
Modules API: "20060613"
PHP API: "20041225"

however in phpinfo it shows version 3.8

I am using windows and server2go

DBG 3.6.8 ...

To work with PhpED 5.8, you need dbg 3.8. What you have installed is dbg 3.6, not 3.8.

I encounter the same problem, so I think there is a little more to it. The debugger icon next to the clock clearly mentions it is version 3.8. However, PHPEd 5.8 tells me I have a debugger version mismatch and that I am running version 3.6. phpinfo also mentions version 3.6.

I am using the Windows x86 version for php 5.2 (dbg-php-5.2.dll) which came from the zip file on the My Products page on the Nusphere site (NuSphere-phped-5.8-debugger-ssl.zip).

File date/time of the dll is 05/20/2009 9:51pm.

I hope this helps. I also submitted a support request.

Kind regards,

Peter

The problem appears not to be the version of DBG installed on your own computer, but the DBG module installed on the remote server.

OK, I see. My guess is that a wrong dll version found its way into the zip file.

the phpinfo states that there is version 5.8.

But it doesn´t run.

I think that is the detection that doesn´t recognize the new version.

Has any body be able to fix this ?.

I was running in version 5.6. I just placed the new file over the old one.

i uninstalled version 5.8.

I installed again version 5.6 and the debug worked even with the new 5.8 debuger ????

By the way zend studio is still 399 euros, there is a new beta and enginsite is now 109 usd. When one program doesn´t work we must look at the competion.

I checked and found that the NuSphere-phped-5.8-debugger-ssl.zip package of earlier this week indeed included a 3.6 version (January 2009) of dbg-php-5.2.so (Linux x86 module for PHP 5.2). I downloaded it again today and it now that module is the new 3.8.0 version. I think this confirms that one or more files in that download packages may have been outdated.

The DBG server module in C:\Program Files\NuSphere\PhpED\debugger\server\Linux for the current build 5814 appears to be correct. I don't know which one of the two versions you are using (non-SSL or SSL), but uploading a current version of the DBG module should fix your problem Wink

Window is allways the same problem:

DBG 3.6.11 Failed to start DBG session
Reason: debugger module version mismatch; version of the debugger module installed on the server is 3.6, please upgrade it to 3.8

Downloaded NuSphere-phped-5.8-debugger-ssl.zip this morning again. Nothing!

Just downloaded the NuSphere-phped-5.8-debugger-ssl.zip again.

Unfortunately for me, the dbg-php-5.2.dll (I am using the Windows x86 version for php 5.2) is still 3.6.11.

Just noticed that all the Linux files are timestamped June 18th, while the Windows files are still May 20th.

I would imagine the dates to be similar. So this would indeed confirm the files in the zip file are old, right?
