After successfully installing Tech Platform in Vista (sadly, XP was no longer an option) I couldn't use the Apache Monitor in the system tray -- it continuously failed to detect the state of Apache and couldn't be used to control it.

This resolves that problem:
1. If it's running, exit the Apache Monitor in the System Tray (right-clcik, select Exit)
2. In Explorer, navigate to "C:\Program Files\NuSphere\TechPlat\apache\bin\"
3. Right click on ApacheMonitor.exe and select Properties
4. Click on the 'Compatibility' tab
5. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select 'Windows XP Serice Pack 2'
6. Click on 'OK' and run ApacheMonitor.exe

I've already changed some of the security settings on this machine, I'm running as Administrator, and I'm running Vista sp2, so you may encounter other difficulties in getting Vista to allow you to do this. But once done, it seems to work fine.
