Hi,
It would be awesome if a dark theme was available for PhpEd. I use a TFT with dynamic contrast, and light backgrounds cause too much eye strain.

Themes: Yes, that would be a good idea.

I created my own "dark" theme, but when I do presentations, I have to take about 10 minutes to "undo it" so the projector can display text that a group can read.

So, the ability to change themse via a VIEW -> THEME -> {listings} would be really helpful.

I really wish you guys get config info out of the registry. A series of *_hl.fg files would go a long way , especially for teams. We have a team of 20 team, all using nuSphere and it is a real pain getting machines set up in a uniformed manner.

Yes, I kow about the reg keys, export them, re-import them, copy this file and that file, etc.

Like I said, a real pain.

That's one this I liked about Homesite (which I used since v2), all conf where in files, n a single directory (yes, many where in sub-directories) but it was easy to copy that single directory to other PCs. And since the pointer to that directory was in the registry, we figured ot out hoe to place the conf directory of files on a server and have the entire team point ot the same files! Worked great!

Hint hint.

yeah and we should be able to save/load themes and the entire settings.
When move to another computer I have to spend time changing the settings according to my style.

VIEW -> THEME -> {listings}

++
this could be very nice to have to switch themes.
And distribute themes as plain XML files.

Since the theme site that was linked is 404, there is a mirror here:

You don't by any chance happen to also have a ZenBurn-variant? ( Like this: _http://lenss.nl/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/zenburn.png )

I think when we use PHP for web development and when it is used as general purpose programming language, we have to switch between different properties so as to find the exact match. It is the same with themes. One of my friends once had to change a dark theme while doing a project due to the instruction of our professors!

Here's a dark colour scheme for PhpED. I borrowed it from another ide Smile It works for PhpED 8.1 and 9.0.
